Joe Bartoszek Bio:
Long time Brevard resident dating back to 1964, Joe ttended Florida Tech but graduated from UCF in 1977 with a BS Civil Engineering (Environmental Option). During his UCF years, he was co-op working for NASA in the Earth Resources office. Upon graduation he was hired full time by NASA working on the Space Shuttle's maneuvering engines. After the Challenger incident he moved into facilities management gaining a broad spectrum of NASA operations, most notable be the Life Sciences Facility. He retired after 32 of service. He is also a Master Scuba Instructor teaching well over 500 new divers over 30 years. At Barrier Island Center, he is their senior volunteer, working with them since opening day some 9 years ago. Joe has recently completed the Florida Coastal Master Naturalist program.
