Space Coast FabLab 3d Printing Summer Camp
This camp teaches students how to take their CAD drawings from a computer screen and print them out as physical objects on their very own 3D printer. The machine comes completely assembled and ready to make their 1st 3D print on the 1st day of Class! 3D printers are used to produce engineering prototypes, custom control boxes, and more!
Ideal for prototyping and education, students use these machines to make one offs and structural models. Each student will design and build their own 3D printed launch-able rocket powered by an Estes C engine on the computer & printer they take home with them!
Additive manufacturing (3D printing) allows students to enhance their CAD (computer aided design) skills and produce real world 3 dimensional objects from their virtual drawings or CAD files.
This 5 day information filled course will fully instruct students on the use of their new windows tablet computer and the 3D printer they will be taking home with them at the end of class.
